Privacy policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why, and what your rights are. Bothy is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can contact us [email protected].
What we collect, and why
When you register your interest
We collect your name and email address, and anything else you choose to add: your business name, the kind of business you run, how you take bookings today, and whether you are happy to give feedback on early versions. If you arrived through a link that carries a “ref” or “utm_source” value, we record that too, so we know which link brought you here.
We use this to keep you updated about Bothy and to invite you to early access. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by asking us to delete your details.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. See the cookie policy.
Technical logs
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site, prevent abuse and keep it secure.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. These services process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: hosts the website and receives your registration before passing it on.
- Brevo (our email and marketing platform): stores your registration and sends you updates about Bothy.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep your registration until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe, and review the list at least once a year to remove people we have not been in touch with.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another service. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us [email protected].
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint (opens in a new tab). We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
